Healthcare Team
Confluence Health is dedicated to providing quality services to each patient and family member through an exceptional patient care team.
Physicians
Your physician will plan and supervise your medical care. Your physician may be either the one you normally see or one you may be seeing for the first time (such as a hospitalist).
Hospitalists are physicians who specialize in caring for patients in the hospital. Since they work in the hospital, they are never more than a few minutes away if you have an urgent problem. Your hospitalist knows and works with every specialty and department in the hospital and can help you have a smooth and speedy recovery from your illness,
The time your physician visits you and other patients is called “patient rounds.” If you have questions about your medical care, please ask your provider during these visits. To speak with your hospitalist, please ask your nurse to page that person.
Staff
In addition to your physician, other medical professionals will help care for you while you are in the hospital. Patient care team members may include:
- Nurses
- Nursing assistants
- Technicians
- Pharmacists
- Dietitians
- Social workers
- Nurse case managers
- Physical, occupational and respiratory therapists
- Support staff
- Chaplain
- Students
Every employee and volunteer at Confluence Health wears an ID badge. We encourage you to ask employees and volunteers to show you their badges and explain what they do.
Volunteer Services
Confluence Health is proud to have many volunteers working throughout our organization. Volunteers staff our information desk, deliver flowers or mail, transport patients, run the gift shop, and provide multiple background services. Volunteers can be identified by their nametags, pink jackets or navy blazers and their smiling faces. Please recognize these special individuals for the wonderful service they provide to our community.
