Behavioral Health Services
Your Mental Health Matters
The mission of the Behavioral Health Department is to provide high quality behavioral services to patients of Confluence Health and to maintain cooperative relations with health care providers.
Good mental health can increase productivity, improve relationships, enhance your ability to cope with life’s challenges, and lead to an improved quality of life. We provide high-quality, evidence-based behavioral health services to adults that focus on improving your skills and finding positive ways to handle life experiences.
Our behavioral health providers partner with you, your primary care provider, and other outside agencies, as appropriate, to ensure that we are providing you with the support you need.
What Is Behavioral Health?
Behavioral Health services are a collaborative process that may include working with both a therapist and a psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner on the care team. A therapist provides counseling services that focus on specific behaviors, emotions or thought processes. A psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner focuses on medications that target specific symptoms, as well as providing brief, solution-focused counseling.
