Breast Care Program
Delivering the highest quality healthcare to our patients is something we take very seriously. That’s why we provide newly diagnosed breast cancer patients with prompt access to the treatment plan that best fits their individual needs.
Our multidisciplinary cancer care team is dedicated to improving survival and quality of life for cancer patients by determining the best treatment option, which may include one or more of the following:
-
Dedicated women’s imaging radiology
-
Surgery
-
Medical oncology
-
Radiation oncology
-
Breast care coordination
We work with patients and their primary care provider to access our support services in a timely manner—whether they are driving across town or across the state—and try to coordinate all initial appointments for the same day. Our breast care coordinator meets with patients and is available throughout their experiences at Confluence Health, guiding them through each step of the process.
Screening for breast cancer.
Breast cancer screening is a crucial process for detecting breast cancer at an early stage, often before any symptoms appear. The primary goal of screening is to identify cancer early when it is most treatable and potentially curable. Screening methods include mammograms, clinical breast exams (CBE), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) test.
